When I was a middle and high school student, the evangelist sang this song as fast as if it were in a revival meeting. Because the "My God" part is so long, it's hard to count the beats, and it's just to give you the feeling you want. The fast tempo was pretty good...

I still can see the image of the evangelist who sang "My God" and praised "My Lord, my strength."

Naturally, I thought this song was very fast.

However, I met this song at another church and it turned out to be very slow. The other one was somewhere in the middle. I did not know where to focus. But its not very common to sing extremely fast or slowly.

The guidance s should not take the tempo they know for granted, but rather tell the accompanists what to do with tempo. Likewise, the accompanists should not take the tempo they know for granted, but should ask the guidance. If we communicate, we can develop in a better way.

If it's a praise I haven't seen in a long time or a new one, don't bother with the communication process. Don't be shy about the process of communication. As a 30 years of accompaniment myself, I sometimes think of a different tempo than an guidance.
