This hymn was written by Charles Wesley in 1739 to commemorate the first anniversary of his conversion. After experiencing the Holy Spirit, he could not contain his overwhelming gratitude and love, writing this poem with the confession, "If I had ten thousand tongues, I would open every one to sing of my Savior." Later, these lyrics were combined with the tune 'AZMON' by Carl G. Gläser, becoming one of the most beloved hymns worldwide. In 2026, as we lose our "first love" amidst the busyness of daily life, this hymn invites us to recover that lost fervor. It reminds us that having one sincere heart filled with the joy of salvation is more precious than having thousands of tongues.

00:24 Ballad Arrangement Version
This arrangement is melody-centered for congregational worship, avoiding excessive jazz chords to keep the focus on the lyrics. It is not suitable for 4-part choir singing, but it is excellent for solo piano worship or meditation times. It was designed to provide a rich musical experience with just a piano for churches without a band or choir.
