Hello!
The organ prelude I am introducing today—based on the hymn "This Is My Father's World" (Korean title: "Truly Beautiful")—is a piece I had started writing some time ago but had set aside; I have now revisited and completed it. While attending the morning service today, this hymn was sung, and I felt inspired to finally finish the organ prelude I had previously begun. I picked up where I left off, carrying the original sentiment through to the final verse to bring the piece to completion. This hymn holds a special quality; simply singing the opening line—"Truly beautiful..."—seems to open the door to one's heart.
When playing this piece, try experimenting to find a beautiful solo stop. Looking at the score, you can clearly distinguish between the melodic lines and the accompaniment sections. I encourage you to try various stop registrations for both the solo melody and the accompaniment!
