Mockingbird (+Eminem Medley)-Eminem

About the song:
“Mockingbird” is a song Eminem wrote for his daughter Hailie, expressing the pain of his past as well as his love for his daughters and the guilt he carries toward them.

I’ve always had a special affection for this song because, more than anything, it feels like a song sung by Marshall Mathers—Eminem’s real name—as a father.

For this arrangement, I reinterpreted the original piano part in my own way. During the rap sections, I mashed up melodies from five of Eminem’s most iconic songs that I felt matched the meaning and emotions of the lyrics, and created new piano melodies to follow the flow of his rap.

Thank you so much, as always, for listening.
