Description
Gülpembe comes from Sözüm Meclisten Dışarı, the 1981 album Barış Manço recorded with Kurtalan Ekspres. The music is by the band's bassist, Ahmet Güvenç, and the words are Manço's, written as a requiem for his grandmother. Manço was a pioneer of Anatolian rock, and this is one of his best-known songs.
The piano writing was decided by hand, and the finished pages carry professional engraving.
