The Ukrainian folk song "Walked in the garden" has an identical melody to the song "The sun is low", or rather, it is performed by the Kuban Cossack Choir under the direction of Viktor Zakharchenko. It tells the story of a boy and a girl who were in love with each other. But while she was waiting for him to come to her in the evening, the boy betrayed her with another girl. And when the girlfriend heard about it, she went to sleep forever. It was only after she died that he understood that he had mistaken.
