Description
This is a collaborative piece with marimba using only one Japanese drum. Originally I composed it as an encore piece, so I sought a melody with a joyful rhythm, like a Japanese festival music song (Ohayashi), that would naturally make it hum. The piece can be played on any type of Japanese Drum you have, such as the Miya-daiko and Oke-daiko. I composed this piece in the hope that it will be a guiding light to hope.
*There is also a solo marimba version of “ Guiding Light ”.
