Standing on the Promises (Modern Worship Version (A, Bb, G Key))-UMH 374

This arrangement of "Standing on the Promises" (Hymn 546) is a Modern Worship Version, crafted to allow for deep meditation on the lyrics. Rather than a fast rhythm, it is played in a slow, sweet, and gentle style, helping you draw closer to God through the message.

The video includes two versions: from 00:00, the melody line is included to support congregational singing, and from 01:00, the melody is omitted with vocal guide tracks included for a richer, fuller accompaniment. We provide three keys (A, Bb, G) to suit the worship leader's range. We hope this arrangement brings deep emotion and grace to your worship service.

[Hymn Background]

Written and composed by R. Kelso Carter in 1886, this hymn was born out of his personal battle with a serious illness. His faith remained unshaken as he trusted in the unchanging promises of God. This hymn is more than just a melody; it is a declaration of faith that stands on the solid foundation of His Word amidst the storms of life. May this slow and thoughtful arrangement help you meditate deeply on His faithful promises.
