Only Scratches (Scar) (Secret Garden OST) - BOIS

This song from Kdrama "Secret Garden" plays when U-Yeong (aka singer Oska) looks out into the sea (from Jeju Island) as he contemplates his strained past with the girl he'd never stopped loving. This was one of the Secret Garden OST songs I had wanted to cover couple of years ago but wasn't really sure how to do it so I've left it off until today.

The song is unique for having a saaaad and sopppppy harmonica intro (lol) and a recurring piano underlayer of arpeggiated semiquavers, but I obviously couldn't include the latter unless I sprouted another pair of hands. (I did try to include the arpeggiated motif amidst the melody but it became a bit forced on top of an already very fast-paced tempo - not to mention impossible to play - so I mostly omitted it... sometimes things don't play out as you've envisaged when you start working on them *^-^) The difficulty with this song is keeping the tempo relatively fast and constant when there's a lot of syncopations, dotted quavers + semiquaver combos, and embellishments. Admittedly, in my playback I did notice a couple of drags here and there in my playing (oopsie)…
