Waltz, No. 2 (for Trumpet (Bb) and Piano)-Dmitrii Shostakovich

This arrangement of Dmitrii Shostakovich’s “Waltz No. 2” follows the same structure and musical flow as the original. The solo instrument takes over the memorable main melodies originally passed between various instruments of the orchestra, while the remaining orchestral material is incorporated into the piano accompaniment. The arrangement preserves the distinctive elegance, rich tonal color, and characteristic waltz rhythm of the original, with selected orchestral parts omitted to ensure a practical and natural performance for solo instrument and piano.
