Today is two versions of "The Lord's Glory."
It's a faithful version of hymn and an 8-beat ballad version.
The 8-beat ballad version played three times. So the video is a bit long.
The original version 0:00
8-beat ballad version 1:00 1 verse / 2:17 2 verse / 3:32 3 verse.
I started preparing for next year's Easter. For your information, this song has no intro.
It's in A-B-A format, so I repeat the first performance one more time at the end.
If you put in the intro, you have to play A again.
So, I left it out.
And I played the 8-beat ballad version 3 times. The chord progression is all different, so choose the one you like and make your own chord progression. When this song comes out, practice as many time as possible so you feel like automatic. The last verse of the 8-beat ballad was played with an octave up. I know it's simple to change the feeling, but it's not easy, is it? I made it into a sheet music, so practice it and learn it. My ultimate goal is to play other songs like this.
You can see a lot of performances on one octave in "The 4th Album of Music book." I love playing on the octave, but it takes more courage than I thought. I purposely put in a lot to show you.
Shall we take another look? If you're watching Bb7sus4, I can play either tension nine or tension b9. In the Bb chord, the Bb(sb) is 1 sound, and the 9th note is "do". 9 notes "do" and b9 notes "do b" (=si) It's a note. The ninth note goes well with the su4 chord. B9 notes are liked or disliked by different people. This is a personal taste, so let's use it as an option.
I have to play the two of them and compare their feelings.
