About
Alexander Demidov is a neoclassical composer, multi-instrumentalist and conductor of 3 church choirs. His favourite instruments are piano and violin.
Initially, the future composer didn't write his own music, but concentrated on improvising on the masterpieces of the past. This helped him to refine his authorial style and carefully shape his ideas.
After graduating from music school, Alexander devoted 10 years to performing pop music, while studying the art of conducting and writing his own material. Russian classical music, especially the works of Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich and Prokofiev, had a profound influence on the young composer. Traditional folk music, spiritual music and the aesthetics of minimalism have also influenced his style.
Alexander's talent has been duly recognised — his debut performance was to a full house at the Moscow International House of Music.
