This is the third arrangement from a series of piano concertos for solo piano. The first two are Beethoven's Emperor Concerto and Rachmaninoff's second concerto.
Chopin's concertos always sounded like a grandiose piano sonata to me. The orchestration isn't as complex as Beethoven's and Rachmaninoff's. But it didn't mean it was easy to transcribe.
I think the transcription turned out well. Already a challenging piece, a solo version is more. The beautiful Romance of the second movement is worth learning it. Thank you for your purchase and enjoy practicing.
