The guitar is a truly versatile instrument. You can strum it powerfully with a pick, play passionate melodies note by note, or use your fingers to produce a mellow, gentle tone. It allows you to sing while accompanying yourself, or even perform both the melody and accompaniment simultaneously as a solo piece. Depending on the moment, your playing style can transform completely.
Furthermore, music itself is like the vastness of the universe—there is no end to what we can explore, from understanding notes and rhythms to reading scores and mastering the fretboard.
Drawing from over 22 years of experience giving guitar lessons here in Joetsu, I have poured my knowledge into these scores. My hope is that these etudes will help you improve your skills, provide satisfying content, and be so enjoyable that you’ll want to practice them over and over again.
