“Ai♡Scream! Sheet Music”

A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of “Ai♡Scream!” with its layered vocal and digitally generated inflections.

The track is transcribed in the original key, G Flat Major, and uses a progression built around the G♭ chord: E♭m7 is G♭ with E♭ as a root and C♭m9 is E♭m7 with C♭ as a root. Functionally, all these three chords are the G♭ chord with different bass.

Other chords are used also but the progression is static (not cadential). The harmonic centering on G♭ is very strong. There is no development in the harmony, but it's not atonal. I don't know musical terms to describe Japanese pop music, the Western terms don't really work here.

“Ai♡Scream!” is composed with straight rhythm in common time. Play pianissimo but still accent strong beats.

The vocal part has many places of an indefinite pitch. I notated it using tones from the tonic chord G♭. The recitative parts are better to be played with staccato touch.

The accompaniment could be played one octave higher than written. Avoid learning both hands together in the very beginning; you will fail immediately and abandon the score.

Focus on precise rhythm.

Much of the song’s aesthetic value is generated through the use of the J-Pop formula.
