Lake Louise (for Violin and Piano) Yuhki Kuramoto

Yuhki Kuramoto’s lyrical piece “Lake Louise” is presented here in a delicate duo arrangement for solo instrument and piano. The structure of the original work is faithfully preserved, allowing the serene atmosphere and flowing melodic lines to unfold naturally in an intimate chamber setting. The solo instrument carries the expressive melodic phrases, while the piano accompaniment recreates the harmonic landscape and gentle rhythmic motion characteristic of Kuramoto’s music. Certain passages have been expanded or adjusted according to the instrumentation, enriching the ensemble texture while maintaining the contemplative mood of the original composition. This arrangement beautifully captures the quiet elegance and emotional depth of the piece, making it well suited for recitals and lyrical concert programs. The required positions extend up to high position for violin, 5th position for viola, and 6th position for cello, offering expressive range and refined tonal control.
