This piece is an adaptation of the classic Hakka song Hakka Bensik , blending two distinct jazz idioms to craft a uniquely styled musical landscape. The piece begins with a Bossa Nova rhythm, creating a relaxed and breezy atmosphere that reflects the gentle yet resilient spirit of Hakka culture. In the second section, it transitions into a vibrant Swing style, where the interplay between brass and woodwinds adds rich layers and symbolizes the Hakka people's adaptability and diverse development in contemporary society. Through the reinterpretation of jazz vocabulary, Hakka BO SWING seeks to bridge tradition and modernity, folk music and jazz, offering a fresh vision of Hakka music and its boundless potential.
