Description
This is an inserted song from the Studio Ghibli film “Kiki’s Delivery Service” (released in 1989).
The arrangement is written in E minor (Em), following the original key. The performance and karaoke versions distributed separately by various companies are arranged in the same way. As for the length of the piece, part of the latter half has been cut because it is difficult to reproduce that section on the shamisen.
Part 1 plays the main melody. Since the tuning is honchōshi, positions such as 4, 5, and 7 on the second string appear. However, the arrangement is designed so it can be played in a traditional style without using the little finger. There is a bit more movement between positions, so it’s a good idea to start slowly when practicing.
Part 2 is basically the backing part. In combination with Part 1, there are sections where it should be clearly heard and others where it supports the melody. Try to play while being aware of the difference between these roles.
