“Amazon Standing Lamp Sheet Music”
An intermediate piano transcription made by request for beginners. Play simple chords in the left hand if arpeggios overwhelm you. If some notes are too difficult to play, omit them focusing on emotions instead of sightreading.
Please, notice that the upper stave is written using a treble clef with the numeral 8 below it (a so-called suboctave clef). This indicates that the pitches sound an octave lower. Play the right hand one octave lower than written. I do it to avoid using ledger lines that slower sightreading.
The Wilbur Soot 's track has some interesting formal and harmonic things:
"Amazon Standing Lamp" is played with a straight rhythm in compound time 12/8. It is hard to count for beginners. Practice slowly.
The composition has no evident song parts, its structure is linear and nothing is repeated twice. Play every part differently, as expressively as possible.
"Amazon Standing Lamp" is a song with a homophonic arrengement: the guitar riff isn't considered as a melody in music theory.
The vocal part is too saturated and overwhelming. A predominant vocal style is legato.
"Amazon Standing Lamp" is transcribed in the original key, A Major, and I don't know what chords they used in harmonization and whether the band harmonized the composition at all. The riff is not a harmony.
The bass has a stepping down depressive pattern F♯ F E B interweaved with A and Bm arpeggios. So it is possible the harmony has only two chords and nothing else.
