“Otonoke Sheet Music”

A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of “Otonoke” with its layered vocal and digitally generated inflections.

The track is transcribed in the original keys, G Sharp Minor and and A Flat Major, and uses many extended and inverted major and minor chords. It creates a unique sound.

The progression is static and lacks a prominent cadential gesture.

The vocals are typed one octave higher. Sing one octave lower but play it written pitch.

I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners.

“Otonoke” is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats.

The left-hand provides an accompaniment. Play any pattern here (chords, arpeggios, tremolo, ostinato).

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Creepy Nuts: a predominant articulation is staccato.

Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part. It is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.

There are many places of an indefinite pitch.

The melody is build to surprise, to attract attention with a rapid flow and sudden changes of direction, expressive pauses, a recitative style.
