The right hand imitates the vocal delivery by Shawn Mendes: a predominant vocal style is semi-staccato. Tenuto symbol marks accented syllables.
Pitch inflections (slurred notes) should be played very quietly.
Play pianissimo.
"Why, Why, Why?" is composed with a swinged rhythm in quadruple time 12/8. It is hard to count for beginners; accent strong beats.
The chorus of "Why, Why, Why?" was colored blue for you to have a mental scheme of a composition. Play every repetition differently.
The left hand maintains movement with ostinato imitating guitar strumming. Play any pattern (chords, arpeggios, tremolo) if you wish.
"Why, Why, Why?" is transcribed in the original key E Minor, and uses basic major and minor chords Em D G C.
