Danse Macabre (Short and fun to play version)-Saint-Saëns

This piece is featured in Episode 2 of the recently released music K-drama Four Hands, Two Sonatas where the two main characters perform it together.

The original version is quite long—around 7 minutes even when performed by professionals, with about 10 pages of music per player—and it also includes some technically challenging sections.

So I selected the parts that are not too difficult but still sound exciting and are fun to play. I also added measure numbers, rehearsal letters, and created a full score to make ensemble practice easier.

The four-hands version (two players sharing one piano) is actually not as difficult as it sounds. In terms of level, I’d describe it as something like an upgraded version of Chopsticks. 😊

Except for the ending, this version is almost the same as the sections performed in the drama. Please refer to the performance video.
