" He Will Never Slumber (Psalm 121) “

(Lyrics by 심종호 / Music by 김민지 / Arranged by 박찬민)

This praise song is a Song of Ascents.

To us who strive and labor in the lives we have been given, yet cannot find meaning or hope and lie awake in worry and pain, the psalm tells us to lift our eyes and look to the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth. It promises that God, who keeps our steps from slipping, neither slumbers nor sleeps and will watch over our coming and going.

May we confess that God, who sustains our souls, is the meaning and hope of our lives, and come before the Lord with joy.

VERSE

I lift my eyes to the hills

Up to where the mountains rise

Where does my help, where does true help, all come from?

My help comes from the Maker

The Lord of heaven and earth

He will not let your foot slip and watch over you

CHORUS

He will never slumber He will never fall asleep

He is your great keeper at your right and your shade he’ll be

The sun by day, the moon by night, it will not harm you

He will keep you from harm and watch over you

BRIDGE

The Lord keeps your life as you come and you go

From this time forth forever

Keep in mind His word, His oath, trust His name

He sustains my whole soul, I look to the Lord
