Mr. C.C. (원곡)-Hiromi Uehara

Hiromi Uehara - Mr. C.C.

🎼 About the Piece

Hiromi Uehara’s “Mr. C.C.” bursts into motion with quicksilver humor, dazzling rhythmic invention, and a theatrical sense of timing that makes the piano seem to speak, dance, and improvise its own lively character.

Brilliant runs and sudden pauses coexist with playful references to earlier entertainment styles, creating music that feels both affectionately nostalgic and unmistakably modern in its energy.

✨ Sheet Music Highlights

The original version demands advanced rhythmic control, rapid articulation, agile hand coordination, wide keyboard movement, sudden dynamic reactions, and the stamina to sustain clarity through an extended virtuosic structure.

It develops precise syncopation, independence between musical layers, fast character changes, accent control, memory, and the ability to project humor through timing rather than relying on speed alone.

🎹 Performance & Recommendation Points

The pulse must remain firmly internalized even when the surface appears unpredictable, allowing abrupt rests, accents, and tempo-like gestures to sound spontaneous without disturbing the larger flow.

Performers should combine fearless energy with physical economy, keeping rapid textures buoyant and reserving enough tonal contrast for every surprise, climax, and theatrical turn to remain vivid.

Have a happy performance!
