"My Sin, Oh, the Bliss of This Glorious Thought" is a masterpiece of faith by Horatio G. Spafford. Although famous for "It Is Well with My Soul," he beautifully sings of the complete forgiveness found in the blood of Jesus in this hymn. The redemption of the cross is not just the removal of punishment, but the beginning of a glorious joy of eternal union with the Lord. Despite the immense waves of hardship Spafford faced in the 19th century, he clung to the perfect love of the cross. "My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought" serves as a holy pledge for believers today to dedicate their lives to Him. In 2026, for all worshipers longing to stand before the Lord with a pure heart, this hymn is a precious gift, confirming the power of the blood of Jesus.

I have arranged this ballad version following requests for the second verse (starting at 0:45 in the video). While the original is in Ab, I have also prepared it in G and F for your convenience. The performance was in G.

This arrangement is designed for congregational worship, focusing on the melody and avoiding excessive jazz chords that might disrupt the flow of worship. Since it is not a 4-part arrangement, it is best suited for solo piano accompaniment during church services or meditative prayer times. Even in churches without a full band, you can express rich musical depth with just a piano.
