Down at the Cross Where My Savior Died / Glory to His Name (DOWN AT THE CROSS) (Lyrical Ballad Congregational Worship Arrangement (Ab, G, F keys) - Hymn 493 (The Celebration Hymnal)

This is an arrangement of the traditional hymn, "Down at the Cross Where My Savior Died" (also known as "Glory to His Name" / Tune: DOWN AT THE CROSS). Following my previously released shuffle arrangement, this second profile is explicitly reshaped into a rich, deep lyrical ballad style to support a reflective, heartfelt confession of faith.

The original traditional key is Ab major, but I have prepared comprehensive transpositions in the lower keys of G major and F major to ensure a more stable and comfortable vocal range for your sanctuary. Since the primary goal of this score is to fully support unified congregational leading during corporate services, it remains strictly melody-driven. I have purposefully avoided overly complex or heavy jazz reharmonizations that might distract from the text and the reverent, sacred atmosphere of worship.

Please note that since this is not a traditional four-part vocal harmony arrangement, it is not suitable for choir accompaniment. However, it is absolutely perfect for solo piano accompaniment during church services, or as reflective background music for silent meditation and prayer before worship begins. I created this with smaller ministries in mind that may not have a full praise band or choir. Even with just a single piano, you can deliver a rich and full musical expression.
