This is an arrangement of the classic hymn, "I Need Thee, Precious Jesus." The original key is Eb major, but I have also prepared it in lower keys (D and C major) to provide a more comfortable vocal range for your congregation.

For this specific arrangement, I enriched the harmonic texture by structuring it into a 5-part voicing, going beyond the standard 4-part choir layout of the traditional hymnal. While I initially considered a sweet, flowing arpeggio style, I decided to focus on supporting congregational singing during main services. To prevent the song from dragging or feeling too slow, I added layered harmonies to give the accompaniment a majestic and solid weight.
Because you will be striking five or more notes simultaneously, please make absolutely sure NOT to smash or hammer the left-hand bass notes! Hahaha. Keeping your left hand gentle yet firm will allow the rich, grand resonance of this 5-part arrangement to shine through beautifully without sounding muddy.
This score is highly melody-driven to guide the congregation smoothly. I have intentionally avoided overly complex jazz chords that might distract from the reverent atmosphere of worship. Please note that since this is not structured for a choir, it is not suitable for choral part-singing accompaniment. However, it is perfect for solo piano accompaniment during church services, or as reflective background music for silent meditation and prayer. I created this with smaller churches in mind, hoping a single piano can deliver a profound and abundant worship experience.
