Autumn Leaves (Swing Jazz)-Joseph Kosma

“Autumn Leaves,” a standard every jazz pianist plays at some point, has been arranged for jazz-trio performance. A separate track featuring the left-hand part was produced so you can practice the right hand on its own.

The tempo is somewhat fast, but the right-hand line mainly uses eighth notes, making it easier to play than you might expect.

Most players start on single-line instruments that play only the melody, whereas piano can be quite challenging because both hands must work together to play the harmony as well. If playing with both hands feels unfamiliar, first practice only the right hand while singing along to learn the phrasing, then gradually add the left hand.
