Colors of the Wind [Backing Track] (from 'Pocahontas') (for Cello)

A lyrical solo arrangement of Colors of the Wind from Disney’s Pocahontas, composed by Alan Menken. The arrangement preserves the original structure while presenting the music in a newly adjusted key, transposed from Db major to D major for more natural string performance. The solo instrument alternates between the vocal lines of the two characters, allowing performers to express the dialogue-like phrasing and emotional contrast within the melody. The accompaniment reflects the orchestral textures of the original soundtrack, supporting the melody while maintaining the cinematic atmosphere of the piece. Some passages have been simplified for practical performance, and octave adjustments appear where needed. Positions used: violin up to 3rd position, viola up to 1st position, cello in thumb position.
