How was everyone’s Sunday? The CCM accompaniment video I am sharing today is Lord, Draw Me Closer To You.
Like 주께 가오니, which I posted last time, it showed up often in our set lists and I remember accompanying it a lot ^^
It varies with the score, but this song has relatively few chords, so accompanying it can feel demanding.
So it helps to build different melodic lines as you accompany. For the first verse I showed an example of leaving a little more space, and after the repeat an example of filling that space with melody, so please take a look~
I rearranged the chords on the chorus repeat too, but I accidentally played the II of F#m7 as G#dim7 ..^^ If you play it properly as G#m7(b5), voice it like this: F# B D.
