スティーヴン・フォスター作曲「ケンタッキーの我が家」の編曲です。
歌詞は英語です。
1853年に発表されたアメリカ歌曲で、郷愁を帯びた旋律と温かみのある歌詞によって広く親しまれてきました。
現在ではアメリカ民謡としても知られ、多くの人々に愛され続けています。
このアレンジでは、原曲の美しい旋律を生かしながら、情景の変化に寄り添った新鮮なハーモニーを施し、ドラマティックなストーリーとして再構成しています。
また、合唱とピアノによる豊かな響きと繊細な表情の変化が、曲の郷愁をより印象的に表現しています。

An arrangement for mixed choir (SATB, Includes occasional divisi passages) and piano.
This is an arrangement of Stephen Foster’s famous song My Old Kentucky Home.
Composed in 1853, this American song has long been cherished for its nostalgic melody and warm, expressive lyrics.
Today, it is also widely regarded as an American folk song and continues to be loved by many.
In this arrangement, the original melody is preserved while fresh harmonies are added to reflect changes in the musical scenery, shaping the piece into a more dramatic narrative.
The rich sonority of choir and piano, together with subtle shifts in expression, further enhances the song’s sense of nostalgia.
