The title Crimson represents more than just a color. It symbolizes passion, courage, and vitality. Throughout the piece, the music builds momentum while balancing rhythmic excitement with expressive lyricism, creating a dialogue between the elegance of early American ragtime and the expressive depth of classical piano music.

With Crimson Rag, my goal was to honor the spirit of ragtime while giving it a fresh, cinematic voice that feels both nostalgic and new.
