I have composed an organ meditation based on the hymn "Nearer, My God, to Thee," a piece that deeply moves believers everywhere. The melody was originally composed by Dr. Lowell Mason, known as the "Father of American Church Music." It is widely recognized for the scene in the movie Titanic where a string ensemble played it as the ship was sinking.
