We Will Keep Our Faith Alive [New Korean Hymnal No. 620] (Grand Staff / L2 / 2p / Congregational Worship / G Major / Chords·Korean Lyrics / 4/4)-Don Besig / Nancy Price

When singing hymns with piano alone,

I arrange accompaniments that include the melody so the congregation can follow easily.

This choral sacred song has long been widely sung.

An American music teacher wrote the lyrics for students’ spiritual growth and asked a fellow teacher to compose the music.

In Korea, former National Choir conductor Na Young-soo first translated it into Korean, helping it become widely loved.

It was later included in the Korean hymnal.

The piece begins with the closing phrase as an introduction, like the hymnbook version, while the main section recalls the familiar older choral style.

I hope it is useful for worship accompaniment.
