本曲融合原創旋律與鄒族音樂語彙，自森林小火車啟程，穿越雲霧神木，最終攀上山巔迎接曙光。

樂曲伊始，聽見「山的呼喚」低聲響起，法國號於遠方鳴奏，長笛則以帶有古調風格的獨奏聲線暗暗飛聲，如同晨曦間偎著光的煙嵐。兩者交織為詩、遙相應答。木管群隨即模仿鳥鳴，點染出山林甦醒的片刻靜謐。不規則的擊樂節奏隨之堆疊，小火車的規律律動推進整體張力，車窗外閃掠的林影與山谷，在旋律中層層鋪展。本段第二主題更以〈高山青〉的旋律為樂思進行主題變形，透過不同樂器的輪唱與交織，展現出既熟悉又嶄新的趣味性格。

樂曲中段，音樂轉入鄒族部落的慶典場景。作曲家化用鄒族傳統調式，創作出富有原始生命力的嶄新旋律，並模仿古謠的哼唱語彙，使祭典的氛圍栩栩如生。其後運用團員肢體動作的強烈律動，形塑出不同於傳統管樂的延伸聲響效果。隨後，音樂忽然低迴沉靜，雙簧管與低音管的獨奏交織如畫，描繪出旅人穿越原始密林，緩步其間，凝神關照這份只屬於森林深處的莊嚴寂靜。

終章如黎明撥雲而至，旋律明亮而寬闊。銅管高聲歡呼，打擊層層堆疊，如曙光自雲海冉冉升起，萬物在光中甦醒。樂團齊聲將主題推向高峰，不僅是登頂的凱歌，更是對自然與生命的謳歌，在這片群山環抱之中，旅人的靈魂終於抵達與天地相接的時刻。

This piece blends original melodies with the musical language of the Tsou people. It begins with a forest train journey, traveling through the misty sacred woods, and ultimately ascending to the mountaintop to greet the first light of dawn.

At the outset, the "Call of the Mountain" emerges in a hushed tone. The French horn resonates from afar, while the flute plays a solo line with ancient modal flavor, evoking drifting mists bathed in early light. The two voices intertwine like poetry, echoing across distance. Woodwinds soon imitate birdsong, sketching a moment of stillness as the forest awakens. Irregular percussion rhythms gradually layer, while the train’s steady pulse drives the musical tension forward. Shadows of trees and valleys flash past the windows, unfolding through layered melodies. A secondary theme transforms the familiar folk song “Gao Shan Qing”, reimagined through instrumental canons and textures, revealing a balance of familiarity and novelty.

In the middle section, the music shifts to a Tsou tribal celebration. The composer incorporates traditional Tsou modes to create new melodies brimming with primal vitality, along with chant-like vocalizations inspired by ancient songs, vividly portraying the ceremonial atmosphere. The performers’ dynamic bodily movements contribute extended sonic effects, creating a soundscape beyond that of conventional wind bands. Suddenly, the music quiets—an oboe and bassoon duet paints a scene of the traveler stepping through the deep primeval forest, silently taking in the solemn tranquility found only in its sacred heart.

In the final section, dawn breaks through the clouds. The melody grows bright and expansive. Brass instruments call out in triumph, and percussion builds in cascading layers, like sunlight rising slowly from a sea of clouds, awakening all things in its glow. The full ensemble propels the theme to its grand summit—not only as a song of conquest, but as a hymn to nature and life itself. In the embrace of these mountains, the traveler’s soul at last arrives at the moment of communion with heaven and earth.

冒頭では「山の呼び声」が静かに響きます。フレンチホルンが遠くから鳴り、フルートは古調の旋法によるソロで、朝光に抱かれた煙霧のような旋律を奏でます。両者は詩のように交差し、遥かに呼応します。続いて木管群が鳥のさえずりを模倣し、山林が目覚める一瞬の静けさを描き出します。不規則な打楽器のリズムが積み重なり、列車の律動が音楽の緊張感を推し進めます。車窓に流れる林や渓谷の影が旋律の中で幾重にも展開されます。本節の第二主題では、台湾民謡《高山青》の旋律がテーマとして変奏され、さまざまな楽器による輪唱と交差を通して、懐かしさと新しさが共存する魅力的な個性を表現します。

中盤では音楽が鄒族の祭典の場面へと転じます。作曲家は鄒族の伝統的な調式を活かし、生命の躍動感に満ちた新たな旋律を生み出しました。さらに古謡のハミングを模倣した歌唱要素が加わり、祭祀の情景が生き生きと浮かび上がります。演奏者の身体動作による強烈なリズムが、従来の吹奏楽にはない拡張された音響効果を形作ります。その後、音楽はふと静まり、オーボエとバスーンのデュエットが絵画のように交錯し、旅人が原始の森をゆっくりと歩きながら、森の奥深くにしか存在しない厳かな静寂を見つめる様子を描き出します。

終章では、黎明が雲を裂いて訪れ、旋律は明るく広がっていきます。金管が勝利の喜びを高らかに歌い、打楽器は幾重にも積み重なり、雲海から昇る朝日のように、すべての生命が光の中で目覚めていきます。楽団全体が主題を頂点へと導き、それは単なる登頂の凱歌にとどまらず、自然と生命への賛歌として響き渡ります。群山に抱かれながら、旅人の魂はついに天地と交わるその時を迎えるのです。
