Silent Night, Holy Night (고요한 밤 거룩한 밤) - J.Mohr & F.X.Gruber

The best part when accompanying is that you can prepare it for a long time and praise it. I feel especially more during a specific season like December for Christmas. I will try to give you a Christmas compliment every week. 

Christmas song is difficult. There is a lot of accidentals and the bass changes a lot. Perhaps this is why I thought Christmas song sounded so cool when I was young. I loved it so much that I practiced a lot even if it wasn't Christmas. But many people are having a hard time playing this song because it is seasonal because it is just a short period of time. 

This is the re-harmonization version, but full of Diatonic. 

※ You can think of Diatonic as it is chords constructed in key-scale notes.

For example, If it's C-key. it's chords consisting of "Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-Ra-Ti" (Not notes like do# and Ti b) Again, if it's Bb key, It is chords of Ti b - Do - Re - Mi b- Fa - So - Ra", which is Bbm7, Cm7, Dm7, EbM7, F7, Gm7, Am7(b5). 

I wanted to avoid being too plain. It's actually something that can be used in worship, so I tried to avoid too much use of over - reharmonization. I would like to talk about Diatonic Function next time. Please remember this soft feeling that's going well.
