Composed by Yoshimichi Tsutaya, it is a lively dance track incorporating elements of disco and funk. The title “Melancholinista” is a neologism coined by YUKI. Regarding the song, she stated, “I just wanted to make something you could dance to, so I kept the lyrics fairly meaningless.”[1]

The music video alternates between shots of YUKI herself and men dressed in traditional costumes from around the world dancing.
