This is an easy arrangement of the hymn "Have You Been to Jesus" (also known as "Are You Washed in the Blood?"), written for those who find hymn accompaniment challenging. The sheet music comes as one set containing two versions: a congregational version for use in worship services, and a lyrical version for quiet times of prayer. The first stanza is the congregational setting, and the second stanza moves into the lyrical setting.

This hymn was written in 1878 by Elisha A. Hoffman (1839-1929), an American Presbyterian minister who wrote both the words and the music. It first appeared that same year in "Spiritual Songs for Gospel Meetings and the Sunday School," drawing its imagery directly from Revelation 7:14, where the redeemed have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. It later became a marching song of the Salvation Army and spread to churches around the world, and it is still sung today at moments of repentance and commitment.
