Goodness of God (MR (For Special Praise) Piano Arrangement (Key of A))-Bethel Music

This is an MR (instrumental accompaniment track) arranged for special music and worship stages.

A subscriber asked me to make a piano MR based on the Ron Kenoly version, and that request is how this track came about. I followed the same chord progression and kept the overall flow as close to that feel as possible. The one thing I changed is the length: I trimmed it to 3 minutes 30 seconds so it can be dropped straight into a special music slot or a worship service (a little shorter than the original version).

Because this is an MR, I deliberately left room in the accompaniment so the vocal stays out in front. Even in a church without a band or a choir, a single piano is enough to carry the whole stage. I hope it also helps those of you who have to prepare with a track alone, without a live accompanist. This one is in the key of A.

"Goodness of God" was released in 2019 on Bethel Music's album "Victory." Written by Jenn Johnson together with Ed Cash, Jason Ingram, Ben Fielding and Brian Johnson, its lyrics look back over a lifetime and confess the goodness of God that never once changed. Since its release it has become one of the most widely sung worship songs in churches around the world, loved both as a congregational anthem and as a solo offering.
