This is an arrangement of "Before Leaving the Sanctuary" (Korean Hymnal #53), a cherished hymn traditionally used for the dismissal or benediction in Korean churches.

As a church pianist, I often find that closing hymns can feel repetitive and stagnant with the same chord progressions every week. I have reimagined this piece with fresh, subtle harmonic adjustments to ensure that the final moments of worship feel as meaningful as the beginning. To make this accessible for all accompanists, I have provided this arrangement in the original Ab major, as well as the more standard G and F major keys. I plan to continue creating a series of arrangements for various closing hymns. I hope this accompaniment brings a sense of grace as your congregation departs to live out their faith.
