This is an arrangement of Hymn 348, "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling." The original key is Ab major, but I have also prepared arrangements in lower keys (G and F major) to provide a more comfortable vocal range for your congregation.
In the demonstration video, I played in the key of G major. For the first verse, I followed the score exactly as written. For the second verse, I used alternative chords to play a more free, expressive, and flowing arrangement.
This arrangement is designed specifically for congregational worship during main services. It remains highly melody-driven, and I have intentionally avoided using overly complex jazz chords that might distract from the reverent atmosphere and the beautiful, reflective message of the lyrics.
Please note that since this is not a traditional four-part harmony arrangement, it is not suitable for choir accompaniment. However, it is absolutely perfect for solo piano accompaniment during church services, or as reflective background music for silent meditation, altar calls, and prayer times.
I created this arrangement with smaller churches in mind that may not have a full praise band or choir. I want to show that even with just a single piano, you can deliver a rich and abundant musical expression. I sincerely hope this sheet music brings deeper emotion and grace to your worship experience.
