This piece is the second piano composition by "Y," a Music Creator born in 2010, who is a future composer and arranger and entered a music high school in April 2026. It was composed in March of his second year of junior high school.
He constructed the piece by placing each note individually in the music notation software "MuseScore," without actually playing any notes on the keyboard.

This piece, which primarily unfolds in a minor key, expresses the melancholy of the waning moon as it progresses from full moon to half moon and then to new moon, and the strength of waiting for the moon to become full again. This is the origin of the title, "Waning Moon Waltz."
I hope that this sad yet powerful melody can touch someone's heart somewhere in the world.
