This is the title song of my new album, Norwegian Romance. A few years ago, I traveled to Norway, a quiet and beautiful northern country. Troldhaugen, a small town in Bergen, was where Edvard Grieg lived, and I was inspired by his little cabin overlooking Lake Nordas.
In Grieg's music, I can feel the love of nature, love for people, and humble and simple musical emotions, which really fascinated me. I remembered these feelings, and after returning to Korea, I wrote this Romance. So this is Homage to Grieg.
The music was played by outstanding Korean cellist Hoe Chan Lee, who studied at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg in Germany and Mozarteum in Austria, and expressed the sentiments of the music with a delicate touch.
