📝 Lyrics

Like the Sun in the day, and the Moon at night
How can I live a simple life every day?

Caring not mine own, shining a light into the dark
Such a life of selfless service for the world

My vision and my dream
I've cherished for so long is to live as salt and light of the world

That I may bring broken and helpless souls
To my Lord God of love and grace

Yet I find me loaded with pride, greed, and unbelief
Weighed down with heavy burden to bear

I have no strength to rise but I'm holding out my hand
Jesus, my Lord, reach out and help me now

Like Jesus has lived, like Paul did long ago
How can I live my life as they've done?

Laying down His own life for those who rejected Him
He was willing to die on the cross

His love we don't deserve, but is given to the world
Freely He has given to all

Yet this greedy soul loves more to get
To receive much more than to give

With my lips I talk as I am to be like the Lord
But my heart is far from its look

Seeking to receive more love for me
Jesus, my Lord, reach out and help me now
