Please, notice that the upper stave is written one octave higher. The first Abel's verse was recorded very low. I also doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners.

“Die For You” is composed with a swinged rhythm in the quadruple time. Only the remix has the swing written out in 12/8 (a time signature containing 12 eighth notes per bar. It is easier to count for beginners than triplets), the original and sped-up files use 4/4 time

This rhythm is associated with the natural flow of a spoken speech and common in blues/jazz music.

"Die For You" is a song with a homophonic arrengement — the instrumental part provides a harmony to support the vocal but lacks its own melody.

Vocal in the original track is sinuous and complex, marked by subtle bends and slides, with intense ornamentation. It is impossible to convey on piano with a fixed pitch of the keys. A predominant vocal style is legato, all slurred notes are vocal bends and to should be barely heard.

The aesthetic value of the melody is achieved through the use of well-proportioned and balanced one-note motives and stepwise motion. The song sound sophisticated but the melody and arrengement is simple.

The last bar with the tonic chord is added by me. Modern commercial music doesn't resolve on tonic to push a listener to repeat the track on a streaming service.

Sped Up

In the key of the actual sped up version, G Major.

It is easier to sing for girls than the original slower version. Video score.

Remix

Be sure not to play in a mechanical way. Strive for a loose and bouncing feel accenting strong beats. Take care to maintain a steady pulse and play along with the recording if you find that the memory eludes you.

"Die For You (Remix)" is transcribed in the original key, C Sharp Minor. The progression is built from a handful of extended chords. Extended chords help create richer sounds than those available from basic major and minor chords.
