內容
A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of _"Nasty"_ with its layered vocal and computer-generated phrasing, electronic inflections of the ambient instrumental track.
*ABOUT THE SONG*
Practice hands separately. The right hand imitates the vocal delivery by Tinashe: a predominant vocal style is *staccato*.
I put the rap part in the left hand. The chanting is built on repetition of one note so focus on precise rhythm. It might be tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.
"Nasty (Match My Freak)" is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. It is easy to count for beginners; accent strong beats.
"Nasty (Match My Freak)" is an atonal piece, it has no tonic-sub/dominant relationships. The harmonic center is B Flat.
The instrumental is homophonic: harmony supports the vocal line with chords.
All used chords are extended till the ninth degree: major and minor chords *Cm A♭ E♭ B♭.*
A chord change lacks motion and is fundamentally static: there is no sense of progression. Its only use is to mark beats.
