Les larmes de Jacqueline (for Cello and Piano)-Jacob Offenbach

Jacques Offenbach’s Les larmes de Jacqueline is arranged here for solo instrument and piano duo, faithfully preserving the original structure of the piece.

The solo instrument carries the main melody throughout, while the piano accompaniment provides harmonic support and complementary musical elements. This arrangement draws from both the piano and orchestral versions, blending their characteristics to create a rich yet balanced texture suitable for chamber performance. Certain register adjustments have been made to reflect the natural range of each instrument, allowing performers to focus on expressive phrasing and tone color.

Required playing positions are Violin in high positions, Viola up to 5th position, and Cello including thumb position.
