Try Everything(Zootopia) for beatbox flute quartet and piano-夏奇拉

Written by Mikkel Eriksen, Sia Furler and Tor Erik Hermansen · Recorded by Shakira · Arranged by Yu-Tai Cheng

A bright, bouncy groove that kids already love, played by four flutes and piano. Beatbox sounds keep the rhythm moving, the melody sings on top, and everyone in the room can feel the beat.

An upbeat, hopeful song that children and families know from the film, rebuilt for four flutes and piano. The flutes play melody and rhythm at the same time: beatbox sounds carry a steady groove at q = 120 while the tune is passed around the ensemble, and the piano supplies the harmony underneath.

The music is easy to feel even on the first listen. The groove repeats, the melody is catchy, and special parts with short syllables such as hu and ch let players add playful rhythmic color. The score also includes dynamic and "energy" markings that help young players understand how a performance builds, from a steady groove to a big, joyful finish.

Why play it

1. Build a stronger sense of rhythm and groove

Regular practice with a repeating beat teaches players to feel pulse, off-beats and phrasing as one physical groove, not just a set of counted notes.

2. Train beatbox and melody together

Playing the main tune and the beatbox patterns in the same piece builds two basic skills at once: clean tonguing and air control for rhythm, and tone and phrasing for melody. Practicing both together gives students a solid foundation.

3. Share the joy of familiar music

Playing a song from a favorite animated film makes it easy for friends and family to listen, sing along and enjoy the performance together. It's a natural choice for recitals, school events and family gatherings.
