內容
Sonata IV from Six Sonates, Op. 2 (ca. 1745) by Charles Buterne is a refined example of mid-eighteenth-century French chamber music, originally conceived for a variety of treble instruments with basso continuo.
This modern edition has been prepared directly from the original eighteenth-century printed source and preserves the musical text with strict fidelity. All articulations, rhythms, accidentals, and original clefs have been carefully maintained. For practical performance purposes, an additional version of the treble part in G clef on the second line is also provided.
Suitable for performers of early music, this edition is ideal for historically informed performance on a wide range of treble instruments, including violin, recorder, flute, oboe, musette, or vielle, with basso continuo.
