A Sweet Breeze for piano (Gun-bam Taryung)

 “Gun-bam Taryung”, translated as “Roasted Chestnut Song”, earned its unique name because some street vendors sang this tune as they were selling roasted chestnuts late at night during the winter season. This origin of the song and the first phrase of lyric, “The wind is blowing, the wind is blowing,” always reminds me of the rigors of a harsh winter. In this short piece, the fierce winter wind is reinterpreted as the sweet and gentle breeze, dreaming the mildness of a sunny spring day.
